Travis Scott collaborates with McDonald’s

Recently, rapper Travis Scott closed in on a collaboration with none other than McDonald’s for his very own meal that you can buy nationwide. The collaboration was announced two months ago and was an instant hit.  Included with the meal is BBQ sauce and a quarter pounder with lettuce and bacon.

McDonald’s in recent years has been losing popularity, and annual sales growth figures reflected that. To this day, McDonald’s is having problems supplying the meal nationwide, as it is so popular that the ingredients used to make the food are in a shortage. There are no real sales figures for just how many Travis Scott x McDonald’s meals have been sold, but it is estimated to be upwards of $100 million.

The collaboration isn’t without its fair share of controversy, though. People have begun trolling McDonald’s employees by rolling up to the drive through and saying, “You know what we are here for,” and then proceeding to blast Travis Scott music. This trend has resulted in numerous viral Instagram videos and Tik Toks.

This collaboration isn’t without its flaws. It has been rumored that the collaboration is a cover-up for lawsuits against racial discrimination within the McDonald’s Corporation.
