Nashville suicide bombing causes municipal damage, few injured

On Christmas morning, Dec. 25, a violent explosion rocked downtown Nashville, Tenn. The blast tore into at least 41 businesses on Second Avenue, a street full of historic buildings. Concerned about the structural integrity of the affected buildings, the city cordoned the area off and would not allow anyone in for several days.

The cause of the explosion? A suicide bombing by Anthony Q. Warner, age 63. The explosion came from a parked RV outside an AT&T building, injuring three bystanders nearby the blast. No one was killed except the bomber. The bomber was identified by DNA samples from the site as there was nobody left after such a blast.

Even 48 hours after the blast, the effects remained due to a cellular data outage caused by the explosion damaging the AT&T Building.
