Scoring sevens on your IB Tests: a totally comprehensive guide

Elle Davis, Co-Fold Editor

The month of May marks the start of the International Baccalaureate (IB) testing season. If you haven’t studied, don’t worry. You’re just like everyone else and likely just as stressed! Thankfully, The Wolf is here to be your savior with these IB test tips worthy of their own high score of seven.

Study in an environment similar to the test

To do this, we recommend finding some crying ASMR on YouTube to simulate what other IB-testers will be doing during the exams. You can also ask a friend to stare profusely over your shoulder and cringe at your work to mimic what your proctor may do during your exam.

Memorize some stats to try to keep calm

You may be running on five hours of sleep and dangerous amounts of caffeine, but there’s an 80 percent chance the kid next to you probably only got three hours. Knowing you won’t get the worst score, and that they will is a great way to put yourself at ease and actually end up doing your best. Besides, Tualatin’s average score is above a five, so keep that in mind when you start doubting yourself on whether or not the Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

Keep your routine the same

Consistency in your daily routine and studying is key to a great score. We recommend continuing to procrastinate (especially about finishing your Internal Assessments), getting four hours of sleep, and buying at least two espressos daily to maximize your efficiency. Doing something like actually getting the recommended eight hours is sure to throw off your circadian rhythm and make you even more tired than you already are. Just continue down your path of sleep deprivation!

Best of luck to you this IB Testing season. Now, get back to the studying you were totally just finishing up.
