Six Deaths Confirmed in the U.S. from Coronavirus
With the latest deaths confirmed in nearly all 50 states and Washington D.C., the death toll of Covid-19 is slowly climbing. The fear of a pandemic striking has taken over the population, with stocks dropping drastically and grocery store shelves left barren. The U.S. government has issued travel restrictions for several countries with the focus on maintaining the health of Americans. Schools and universities have closed in multiple states, including California, Washington and New York. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has stated that preventative measures such as limiting travel, washing your hands and staying home if you are sick are helpful precautions to keep the virus contained.
Super Tuesday Results; What Will be the Future of our Country?
After Super Tuesday, Senator Joe Biden won Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Texas and Maine, while Senator Bernie Sanders won Vermont, Colorado, and Utah, and California. After such a split result, Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bloomberg have dropped out. The only other remaining candidate, Tulsi Gabbard, is not considered a contender.
Tornado Strikes Nashville’s Thriving Music Community
On Tuesday Mar. 3, tornadoes whipped through Nashville and destroyed homes and other buildings, taking the lives of 24 individuals. The most affected areas were in the music and creative community, and venues such as Basement East and other businesses, including Burger Up and Molly Green, a clothing store, were destroyed. The community is pulling together to collect funds to help rebuild these important places, and emergency crews were dispatched to find missing persons, clear roads, restore power and hand out resources to any residents in need.
