2020 has been the year of learning new food recipes, staying at home and finding new ways of keeping yourself busy, as 2021 may be similar. Don’t forget all the places you can visit! Small businesses are working hard to stay afloat after a year of abiding by pandemic restrictions, so we compiled a list of some places to try if you’d like to get out and support part of the community. Just remember to mask up, social distance and wash your hands.

Crazy Sushi is located in Sherwood, (16055 SW Tualatin-Sherwood Rd #250, Sherwood, OR 97140) and has a variety of Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere is light and casual, with welcoming employees who greet every guest. They have a large selection of unique sushi dishes that can satisfy an array of different customers. Another great restaurant is Thai Delicious, (12540 SW Main St #150, Portland, OR 97223) currently located in Tigard and is only accepting takeout orders. Their most popular dish is number 39, the Pad Thai. The Pad Thai contains rice noodles with stir fried egg, green onions and bean sprouts, topped with cabbage, carrots and ground peanuts.. My whole family orders this dish, and we all love it! You can add extra spice or keep it mild, either way I give it a chef’s kiss. It’s a straightforward eatery with many dishes to offer. Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream in Sherwood (21300 SW Langer Farms Pkwy, Sherwood, OR 97140)  is an ice cream place with vast flavors ranging from vanilla to coffee chocolate chip! The decorations inside the store are cute and colorful. It’s a great place to go out with your family after dinner, it isn’t too pricey and they serve big scoops. I always order the birthday cake, it has frosting bits in it and sprinkles too. If you go there, get the birthday cake. Website: https://www.handelsicecream.com/
