As the excitement from Homecoming dies down, there aren’t many school events to look forward to unless you’re a junior or senior who has Prom. However, Tualatin ASB has decided to bring back the Winter Formal dance instead of the Spring Fling this year.
The date for the dance is set for Saturday, Feb. 22. The theme is Secrets of the Sea; and many from ASB are excitedly saying that it’s going to be magical.
Tualatin High School’s Commons will be decked out in vibrant colors with grand decorations and will have IB film teacher Dustin O’Donnell as the DJ. The attire will be more short dresses and long sleeved dresses and dress shirts This attire gives off a similar vibe to Homecoming.
Talk about going to the dance is already circulating among the students. Many are chatting about what the plans are for the night and what dresses or suits they plan on wearing. Freshmen and sophomores are especially eager to attend this dance, as it’ll be the last dance of the school year for them. Juniors and seniors still have prom; however, some can’t wait and need to get another dance in before then.
“Dreaming of an unforgettable prom? Help us make it happen by joining us at Winter Formal!” senior and co-activities director Campbell Brintnall said. “Dive into an enchanting night filled with the Secrets of the Sea while supporting YOUR Prom. Don’t miss the fun – mark your calendar for Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m.!”
Set the date, bring your friends, form groups, have dinner and dance the night away at Winter Formal!
