With countless artists releasing new music, tours are frequently being announced. Securing affordable tickets through Ticketmaster can be difficult, but luckily, Portland’s diverse venues offer plenty of opportunities to catch live performances. Here are some upcoming concerts in the area.
Role Model brings his album Kansas Anymore to the Crystal Ballroom on April 7-8, incorporating emotional storytelling with upbeat and mellow tunes. Indie singer Beabadoobee will perform This Is How Tomorrow Moves at the Moda Center on April 9. Trisha Paytas’ The Eras of Trish Tour hits Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on May 2, while indie rock band Hippo Campus stops by Roseland Theater May 9-10 with their new album Flood.

“I have three planned: Beabadoobee, Grent Perez and The Weeknd and Playboi Carti. I’ve gone to probably over 25 concerts in the past few years, and each one has been better than the last,” she said.
Senior Jake Madrid explained that some of his favorite concerts have been The Backseat Lovers, Def Leppard, Maroon 5 and The Magic City Hippies.
“I find my concerts in a couple ways – I have this app called Bandsintown that tracks my Apple Music and lets me know when people I like are coming to town. I also have a very concert-heavy family, so we keep each other all updated on upcoming shows.”
Madrid shares some of his best concert pictures on an Instagram account — @jakes_concert_flicks.
“Role Model, The Lumineers and Hozier” are some upcoming concerts that sophomore Callie Porter is looking forward to.
