There are many ways seniors can choose to spend their last few weeks to remember their senior year, and one of the most popular and meaningful ways is by decorating their graduation caps. It is a fun and creative activity, allowing seniors to express their personalities, interests and values during this moment in their lives.
As graduation approaches, many seniors have taken the time to decorate their graduation caps with thoughtful designs. One senior, Tatiana Torres Gonzalez, shared the meaning behind the elements on her cap.
Why did you choose to decorate it?
“I chose to decorate it because I thought it was a beautiful idea, and it’s a fun memory I share with my friends.”
What inspired the design of your cap?
“My grandmother likes butterflies, and my mother likes flowers, and I made it pink because it is my favorite color.”
For many, decorating their graduation caps is more than just a fun activity, it’s a way to feel connected to the people and experiences that have shaped them, and to carry those memories into the next chapter of their lives.
