Try these Senior (Citizen) Packing Lists to Help with Your Move from TuHS

As seniors move on from high school, it is crucial that those planning to go to college know what to pack before moving to their next school. In similar fashion, senior citizens planning to pack for retirement homes this coming year also require a packing list of their own so that nothing is forgotten. The trick, of course, is telling the difference. Which list is for which group of people?

List 1:

  1. A weird sleeping schedule
  2. The urge to call anyone younger than you “child”
  3. Unrealistic expectations of fun
  4. Back and neck aches
  5. A computer and ability to use Zoom
  6. Your most comfortable clothes
  7. Probably a #2 pencil (double check before you go that it is not a #1)
  8. Candy (keep within arm’s reach at all times so you can snack on it)

List 2:

  1. A weird sleeping schedule
  2. The urge to call anyone younger than you “dearie”
  3. Calm and loving demeanor
  4. Back and neck aches
  5. Someone that can teach you how to use both the computer and Zoom
  6. Your most comfortable clothes
  7. An odd enthusiasm for bingo
  8. Candy (keep within arm’s reach at all times so you can give it to children/anyone younger than you)
