Tualatin High School’s Homecoming dance was this last weekend, Oct. 5. The dance took place at the Tualatin Commons.

The week prior to the Homecoming dance, TuHS had a spirit week to bring both students and staff together. Monday was Flannel Day, Tuesday was Sweatshirt Day, Wednesday was Jersey Day, Thursday was Disney/Pixar Day, and on Friday, every student received a free t-shirt for the black-out football game, so it was Wear Your Free T-shirt Day.

On Monday, Oct. 7, there was a Homecoming assembly at which the theme of this year’s dance was announced: Pixar. Each class was assigned a movie. The freshmen were given Finding Nemo, the sophomores were given Cars, the juniors were given Monsters Inc., and the seniors were given Toy Story. Each hallway was decorated according to the theme, as was the dance.

At the Homecoming game, the king and queen were announced during the halftime show. The king is Andrew Kang and the queen is Elyse Burton.

The music was provided by DJ Avalanche, who has been TuHS’s DJ for multiple dances.
