Tualatin cheer capped off an incredible season of numerous first place wins in their Varsity Coed division and even achieved the Grand Champs Award at the Newberg Classic for scoring the most points out of any division.

After finishing second in the state, Tualatin cheer headed to Anaheim, Calif., ready to compete for the last time as a team for the national title. These determined Wolves left everything on the mat and won the USA National Championship for the first time since 1998.

For seniors Amanda Fronczak, Shivani Ufford and Ava Spalding, this well-deserved win was the perfect way to end their final high school cheer season with a bang and leave their mark on the Tualatin cheer program.

What does winning nationals mean to the team and its seniors?

“I’m so proud of this team and our coaches,” Ufford said. “We competed against some of the best teams in the nation. It was such an honor and privilege to end our season and my senior cheer career bringing home the National award to Tualatin High School after 25 years!”
