Bopping throughout autumn season

Claire Roach, Staff Writer

With the leaves falling around us and the smell of pumpkin spice everywhere, it’s time to get in the fall mood. Here are a few songs to jam to while you carve a pumpkin!

“Sofia” – Clairo

Claire Cottrill, more widely known by her stage name Clairo, released “Sofia” as the 7th hit track on her debut album Immunity. Sofia is about knowing what you want in a relationship but still feeling scared to go for it, and it’s hands-down the best song for having a dance party in between Google Meets.

“In Your Eyes” – The Weeknd

This is my personal favorite track from The Weeknd’s new album After Hours. The influence of ‘80s pop is heard throughout the album. This song doesn’t disappoint with a smooth saxophone solo in the middle.

“I’m Sorry” – Peach Tree Rascals

I always get the best vibes from this song; it’s fun to groove along with the beat and then when the guitar comes in I completely rock out. Shortly after being released as a single, “I’m Sorry” appeared on an EP titled I can’t wait for you to come my way.

“hello!” – ROLE MODEL

Tucker Pillsbury is an up and coming who is better known by the name ROLE MODEL. He released “hello!” as a single last year and it has attracted a lot of attention from the Gen Z audience because of its relatable lyrics and catchy vibe.

“Young Blood” – Noah Kahan

Noah Kahan released “Young Blood” in 2017 as his debut single and later added it to his first studio album Busyhead.  He wrote about new beginnings and used the song as a letter of encouragement for his future self.  Grab a cup of coffee and listen while it’s raining to get in the fall vibe.
