Earlier this year, Bruno Mars dropped his much-anticipated album The Romantic. Though he and Anderson .Paak came together to form Silk Sonic and release the album An Evening With Silk Sonic in 2021, Bruno Mars had not released a solo album since his highly praised 24k Magic in 2016, causing The Romantic to gain traction quickly.
Mars announced the tour for the album in early January, also not having gone on a major tour since the 24k Magic Tour in 2017. Now, Mars is back and ready to tour, with the tour planned to span over the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. Ticket sales started off hot and are quickly selling out around the world, with this most likely to be the biggest tour of the year.
Senior Connor McMillen told us his thoughts about the album and some of the songs within, highlighting Mars’ talents.
“I really enjoyed the album; it is definitely one of his top two albums as of now. The contrast in ‘Cha Cha Cha’ and ‘Nothing Left’ shows off his range as an artist and his ability to use the contrast intentionally to tell a complete emotional story.”
Over the last few years, Mars has seemed stuck within Las Vegas, rooting all of his performances there. including all of his performances as a part of the dynamic duo with Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic. With his new tour set to begin on April 10, Mars will be starting in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium all the way through December of this year, ending at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, Mexico.
The tour will start a new beginning for Mars as he finds his way out of Las Vegas and rumored gambling debts towards incredible shows all over the world. With the Romantic Tour starting soon, it has already been projected to be one of the highest-grossing concert tours of the year. With Ticketmaster recording a new record of 2.1 million ticket sales on the first day of the tour’s announcement, this tour will likely continue breaking records and hearts throughout the year.
