Volunteers needed for #SnowDaysOff campaign

Emily Phuong Tran, Feature Editor

Tigard-Tualatin School District has yet to decide whether students and teachers will get school off in the case of snow days. Beaverton School District made the decision weeks ago, to the obvious disappointment of their students, to continue school if a winter storm passes through…THE HORROR!

I know you’re worried, and so am I. We cannot let adults steal our necessary rest. We cannot let adults take away our privileges when we have been through so much. We cannot, I repeat, cannot allow ourselves to submit to ridiculous rulings without rising up.

I implore you to join me on my #SnowDaysOff campaign. With your help, we will take back our snow days.

Event: Dec. 20, 7-9 p.m. – SDO Training Session

At the training session, you will learn all the techniques it takes to organize a successful campaign against the district dictators: bullying, gaslighting, sarcasm, diminishing self-esteem, etc. We use the platform “Twitter” so please create an account before you come to the session. (We recommend you create a username that will not reveal your identity so you cannot be traced for reporting purposes.)

Emily Phuong Tran is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
