Tualatin students review Taylor Swift’s Midnights

Gracie Lancaster, Staff Writer

After much anticipation, Taylor Swift released Midnights at 9 p.m. PST on Oct. 20. The Wolf conducted a follow-up interview with Tualatin High School (TuHS) seniors Madeline Houeland and Finley Arnott about the album.

Q: Do you feel like Midnights lived up to your expectations?

Houeland: “YES! Literally exceeded my expectations. I loved it so much!”

Arnott: “Yes it did. It exceeded them as well.”

Q: What is your favorite track and why?

H: “My favorite track is probably either ‘Sweet Nothing’ or ‘Lavender Haze.’ ‘Sweet Nothing’ is so sweet and cute, and ‘Lavender Haze’ is so funsies to listen to.”

A: “My favorite track is probably either ‘You’re On Your Own, Kid’ or ‘Sweet Nothing’ because they both hit very close to home for me. ‘The Great War’ and ‘Anti-Hero’ are close seconds.”

Q: How do you feel about the additional seven tracks?

H: “I LOVE THEM! I’m so glad she released them. It’s such a cool little piece, and they’re so good.”

A: “I felt like they were the perfect addition to the album!”
