Women artists take center stage in Grammy, Billboard awards

The full list of nominations for the 67th annual Grammy Awards was released this Nov. 10. With nine nominations, SZA is the leading nominee. Other major nominees include Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, Victoria Monét and Billie Eilish, all of whom will compete against SZA for Record of the Year.

As of now, it’s clear that it’s becoming a women’s world of music, with Batiste being the only male performer to get six nominations or more, whereas nine female performers have done the same. In the top three general-field categories, only three of the 24 nominations went to male performers, all for Batiste.

On this note, let’s not forget about Taylor Swift, who has the potential to become the winner of Album of the Year, if her album Midnights prevails in that category next year when the ceremony takes place. Currently tied with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon, she would have a record-breaking four wins in the category if she took the golden gramophone home.

The awards ceremony will take place on Feb. 4, 2024, broadcast live on Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS). There are many more nominations for other categories, so be sure to check out the full list of nominations on GRAMMY.com.

Alongside the Grammy nominations, the winners of the 2023 Billboard Music Awards were also announced. The top winner of the night was Morgan Wallen with 11 wins, while Taylor Swift was the biggest female winner with 10 wins. All nominees and winners can be found on Billboard.com, so be sure to check that out as well!
