Let’s get straight to the point here with the question everyone wants to know the answer to: What is the number one Christmas gift for teens in 2025?
You’re already on the edge of your seats. I can feel it.
The number of trending Christmas gifts for the 2025 season is jawdropping, but one group of items really sticks out from the rest: Disposable cameras. These are more popular than any other non-phone camera. They just give that nostalgic and/or retro feel. These cameras seem to have grown very popular over the last few years, especially in 2025. Even though it’s popular nationwide, has this gift idea made it to Tualatin High School (TuHS)?
“I think that [non-phone cameras] are very good ideas because people can take photos with their friends without having to take their phones everywhere,” said sophomore Emma Goodell.
“The reusable ones that last forever are good, but the disposable ones are bad for the environment when you can literally get a reusable one for just a little more. It’s worth it. I think some other trending gifts can include cool vintage record players and vinyls. I think that way of playing music is coming back.”
You’re probably here for last-minute Christmas ideas on where you should go to get that perfect (hopefully under $50) gift for someone special. You probably just want to sit back and order something cheap online, so you’re not forced to rush to the last store that only has one of the desired items in stock left, only to be stiff-armed by a middle-aged woman all of a sudden competing for the same thing. But doesn’t all that drama add to the Christmas spirit?
Sophomore Adelise Mulvaney commented on her favorite places to shop for Christmas gifts.
“I normally do my shopping at the Washington Square Mall or Clackamas Town Center, and I don’t have specific stores that I go to within them – just whichever one has the best things. I think the best times to go are on weekdays at the start of the holiday season, so there won’t be as many people, the sales are good and things are still in stock.”
It seems malls are the best places to shop for Christmas gifts, especially when you’re shopping for multiple people or just need more ideas, as all of them have a wide range of stores. Most importantly, last minute Christmas shopping is greatly discouraged. The number of people scrambling for gifts and the lack of stock could leave you giftless for a white elephant party, forcing you to wrap up something random. Good luck convincing your friend that the pebble you found is actually a “cool volcanic rock” or something; yeah, not the best idea.
