Summer is too hot, winter is too cold and spring is too muddy, but fall? Fall is the time of year when almost everything is at its peak; the combination of perfect weather, pumpkin spice everything and fall festivities make it top-notch.
Fall begins alongside school, which is honestly the best time it could begin. Your summer tan has yet to fade and the start of the school year is the only time when it’s fun. You get to make new friends, have new beginnings and, better yet, it’s football season, which means Friday Nights Lights every Friday, with fun, unique themes that get everyone excited.
Thankfully, we live in a state that provides us with the perfect rainy, cold days that make you want to lay cozy in bed and never leave the house. As a result, sweaters and hoodies become an essential part of my outfits. They provide me with that warm cozy feeling, but can be easily dressed up or down. Fall is also the time to pull out Uggs and slippers to have that fall aesthetic and, for obvious reasons, they are super comfortable.
Pumpkin patches and apple farms are also the best fall-themed places to visit, offering many activities. We have so many options for pumpkin patches near Tualatin, but a personal favorite of mine is a pumpkin patch in Clackamas County named Yesteryear Farm. They have the perfect photo opportunities, unique pumpkins and free entry, so you can spend your money on their food trucks and get souvenirs from their big gift shop.
Something I enjoy doing during the fall season is heading to my local Starbucks and getting a hot pumpkin Spice Latte. The Starbucks fall menu is unmatched, and I am always counting down the days in August before I can get my iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte.
To add on to your fall drink experience, I think it’s best if you take it home to enjoy and lay in bed to watch Gilmore Girls. Gilmore Girls is the perfect fall show to watch because it is the epitome of fall, and it’s the perfect lighthearted comfort show.
