The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event in the United States. With over 100 million viewers each year the crowds pour in to watch the big game. And all over the country we get to see how fans support their team, since it’s one of the few chances they get to see their team in the biggest game in football.
From watch parties at stadiums to your friend’s house, the Super Bowl is more than just a time to watch some good football; it’s also a time to spend with your friends and family. Getting to bond over sports is one of the most fun things about watching big games like this one. The parties themselves have so much to offer, including amazing food ranging from pizza and wings to desserts.
“We usually get together with friends and family and just hang out. We almost always eat wings and play card games,” senior Brady Schneider said.
Along with fun games and betting on the game, there are perks to it all. But, it’s also very interesting to see how other people celebrate and any superstitions that they might have.
“I get as much work done before the Super Bowl as possible, so I can relax and have some chips and guacamole with my dad,” senior Gavin Smith said. “Watching the game with my dad is a bonding experience because I hardly get to see him each day.”
The Super Bowl gives everyone a chance to connect with others and have a good time – unless your team loses. It’s always extra fun to celebrate and show support for your team. So even if you weren’t rooting for this year’s winner, remember there’s always next year, though you are probably still mad.
