Hi! My name is Emily Phuong Tran. (I have two first names!) I use she/her pronouns. This is my third year on staff and my second year as a Feature Editor. A lot of the upperclassmen I knew were doing Newspaper and they made it sound super fun! As they graduated, I stayed because of the incredible people I met in the class who became my best friends, and the love I developed for writing. Our school is a community and working on the newspaper allows me to explore the dynamics, ask questions and find out answers. The Wolf is an important platform at Tualatin, we contribute to the dialogue and culture of our school. Outside of Newspaper, I am ASB President and President of the Tigard-Tualatin Student Union. I consume a lot of media and a lot of art, which fills my free time along with the quality time I spend with my family.
